Dr. John Willis

Astronomer, Astrobiologist

In June 2017, Jon joined the E/V Nautilus for its 3-week science cruise off Vancouver Island, in support of ONC’s Nepture observatory. Jon was an on-board educator providing a link between scientists and the public. Hear about life on board and review some of the highlights of the voyage as the crew dove into some of the ocean’s most spectacular deep sea hydrothermal vents.

Jon is an astronomy professor at UVic and has recently published a book — All These Worlds are Yours: The Scientific Search for Extraterrestrial Life.
