Saturday, July 18 Experience the bizarre and beautiful world of intertidal animals by observign them up close. Divers will collect them from the ocean and place them into tanks while interpresters tell us about the lives of these animals. Our Intertidal Safar divers are organized by the Marine Life Sanctuaries Society (MLSS). This very popular event will be held in cooperation with the Parks Canada Bioblitz, taking place all weekend on Saturna.

Join in earlier with an informative Beach Walk lead by Nicole Cann, Head Interpreter , Vancouver Aquarium. The walk will start at 1:00pm at East Point Park and end at the Intertidal Safari.

Sunday, July 19 Diver and underwater photographer, Diane Reid will present a slideshow and talk about her inspiring underwater photography around Saturna and the Salish Sea. Mike Irvine of FishEye Project, will talk about his unique underwater live videos and show us how he delivered his Master's thesis from underwater - a first!
